Hi pastrychef i know who you are, you are from TM forums, you have replied to my post there but i go by other name So, for now just using Intel UHD 630, which is completely fine to run my work
Somehow my nvidia (dedicated) card sucked in SIMULATOR performance, even though I injected old nVidia driver properly. Primarily I use hackintosh for coding, so don’t need much GPU performance theoretically. So I unplugged the card and installing like this way. I do have dedicated graphics card, I just couldn’t wait for the driver.
Remove nVidia card and use your intel hd graphics with hardware acceleration xD I did thisĬonfig: i7 8700K, Aorus Z370 Gaming 3, Evo 850
Those who are nVidia user needs to update to Mojave, you can do following like me. This thread seems going to be one of the top thread of nVidia dev :3 Of course, the Mac Pros use CPUs that do not have IGPU.Įverybody calm down. The amount of RAM used is quite insignificant and doesn’t affect dual channel operation. The IGPU assists with things like AirPlay video, Quick Sync, HEVC. These are the 2 reasons why I never like on board video because I use quad channel mode and I also like to use a powerful cardĪll of the more recent iMacs (Late 2015 to most current models, maybe earlier too but I’m not sure) have IGPU enabled even when discrete GPUs are included. Then the ram amount will not match and dual channel mode will not turn onĮven if your rams are all the same, same brand, same amount etcīut after you turn off onboard video in the bios and add a video then all dims will match and dual channel will turn onīecause you are not using onboard video, so the ram will have their all GIGS available to use for system memory Just by using onboard video that alone will deactivate your dual channel memoryīecause the onboard video is taking from the ram I don’t know about the latest boards but last time I checked That is the # 1 and only option but I know your intentions were good So buying an AMD card or using intel video is not an option because they want to use their nvidia card
This threat is for nvidia users that has a hackintosh or a Mac and will like to use their nvidia cards in Mac OS Mojave
You can say that the z300 series is the 2nd best The z370 and the z390 are enthusiast platform while the x299 is intel current extreme line I started buying my boards without onboard video Then when I realize that onboard vido are technically useless in term of performance I always bought video cards to replace the weak on board video When I first stared building my own computers You can’t really compared an onboard video with a powerful GPU in terms of raw performance
While intel video can help you save some money because you don’t need to buy a video card They might use the same software and you can buy the most compatible hardware to build a hackintosh but still is not a real genuine macĪ hackintosh is a custom made “Mac” with computer partsĪnother point is that many hackintosh users have extreme boards that don’t use onboard video and they require a video card Hi there, there are a few things to mention hereįirst a hackintosh and real Macs are not the same thing
